Lovable
AI app builder that generates full-stack web apps from a chat, with backend features provided through Supabase.
Works with AI agents:llms.txtMCPLovable builds web applications from a chat. You describe the app, it writes the code, runs a live preview, and publishes it to a URL, so a non-developer can get from an idea to a working product with sign-in and stored data without setting up any infrastructure.
Each project is a real codebase. New projects use a TanStack Start (React) template that renders pages on the server; older ones are React + Vite single-page apps. When a feature needs a backend, Lovable turns on its built-in backend, Lovable Cloud, which is built on Supabase's open-source stack: Postgres with row-level security, auth, storage, realtime and edge functions. You can connect your own Supabase project instead.
For a small team the useful parts are two-way sync with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket (edit in your IDE and Lovable picks it up), a Plan mode that writes a plan you approve before code changes, built-in security scans of database rules and dependencies, and a choice of data region (Americas, Europe or Asia Pacific) for the Cloud backend. Apps are hosted by Lovable, with custom domains.
The region can't be changed once Cloud is on. Leaving is possible but manual: the code exports through Git, the database (with users' password hashes) exports to a file you restore into Supabase, while storage files, edge function code and secrets have to be moved separately. Lovable only edits one Git branch at a time.

“Great to prototyping and exploring ideas. Have already started using 2.0 version and am loving the collaboration!”
AI App BuildersMaker says so · source ↗“I built a full AI agent marketplace in 7 days. Lovable was my CTO. No co-founder. No engineering team. Just prompts. Konfide has 229 live agents, Stripe Connect payouts, Google Pay, LinkedIn OAuth verification, a full subscription model, real-time escrow logic, and a Konfi AI Agent. All of it was built through Lovable prompts, not a single line of code written by hand. The learning curve is real. You have to understand the right prompt order: DB migrations first, Edge Functions second, UI third. You have to respect RLS. You have to think like an architect, not a user. But once you internalize that, Lovable becomes the fastest engineering team you have ever worked with. I shipped things in hours that would have taken a funded team weeks. I caught bugs by watching the preview in real time. I iterated on UX at midnight without waiting for a standup. If you are a solo founder with a product vision and no budget for engineers, Lovable is not a tool. It is your technical co-founder. You just have to bring the judgment. Konfide launches on Product Hunt on April 10. Lovable built every pixel of it.”

KonfideSep 2026 ↗Lovable is my favorite AI app builder. It's the best way to get started or build simple tools that just work out of the box. Although I often end up using Cursor for bigger, more serious projects - Lovable is my go-to AI tool for throwing something together quickly. I also gotta say that they make killer landing pages. I'm wowed every single time. Excellent integrations with Supabase, GitHub, and custom domains make it a really seamless experience.
VibeScanSep 2026 ↗I love, love, love Lovable. As a founder, I can finally take what I imagine in my mind and quickly articulate it with the team, as if I were printing the vision. One thing I recommend is a pre-offsite Lovable session where everyone on the team gets to articulate an idea they'd like the company to pursue, but rather than with words, with an actual prototype that the rest of the team can quickly grasp.
Lovable stood out for its conversational workflow and attention to design. Its approach inspired us while building WE0.ai, especially how to help non-technical users turn an idea into something they can see and refine without getting overwhelmed by technical choices.

Questions makers ask about Lovable
Can I host a Lovable app somewhere else?
Yes. Take the code through Git sync and deploy it yourself; TanStack Start apps need a host that runs a server (Lovable's build uses Nitro presets), while older React + Vite apps build to static files any static host can serve. source ↗
Can I move off the built-in backend to my own Supabase project?
Yes. Schema and storage policies come over through the project's SQL migration files, and a database export carries the data and users' password hashes so they keep their passwords; sign-in providers, storage files, edge functions and secrets you set up again at the destination. source ↗
Are there limits on exporting my data?
The database export covers databases up to 15 GB, the file can be at most 5 GB, and you can request one export every 24 hours. Exports can't be downloaded after you remove Cloud from the project. source ↗
Where is my app's data stored?
In the region you pick when Cloud is enabled, Americas, Europe or Asia Pacific. It can't be changed afterwards, and existing projects can't be moved between regions. source ↗
How does GitHub sync work?
It is two-way. Lovable pushes its changes to your repository, and commits pushed to the active branch sync back into Lovable, but it edits and syncs only one branch at a time. GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Enterprise Server are supported on the Enterprise plan. source ↗
Is Lovable SOC 2 or GDPR compliant, and does it offer SSO?
Lovable lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR with a DPA. Workspace SSO via OIDC or SAML is on Business and Enterprise; SCIM provisioning and audit logs are Enterprise only. source ↗
Do unused credits carry over?
The daily build credits and the monthly Cloud and AI grants refresh on their schedule and don't roll over. On Free, daily build credits are capped at 30 per month. source ↗
Is Lovable free?
Yes — there is a free tier a small product can run on; paid use starts at $25/mo. source ↗
Is Lovable open source or self-hostable?
Not open source, and hosted only.
Can AI coding agents work with Lovable?
It serves an llms.txt docs index; it has an official MCP server (dev.lovable/mcp).
