What the model leaves out

US East (N. Virginia) rates, read from AWS's published price list for the S3 pricing page. Storage is $0.023/GB for the first 50 TB, then $0.022 (next 450 TB) and $0.021 (over 500 TB). The first 100 GB/month of internet egress is free (aggregated across all AWS services); egress is $0.09/GB for the next 10 TB, then $0.085, $0.07 and $0.05 at higher volumes. Requests (PUT/GET) and other storage classes are not modelled.

Before you commit
  • The 100 GB of free internet egress is per account, shared across all AWS services and regions.
  • Requests (PUT, COPY, POST, LIST, GET) are billed per request on top of storage and transfer.
  • Standard-IA and One Zone-IA bill a 128 KB minimum object size and a 30-day minimum storage duration; Glacier classes have 90- or 180-day minimums.
