Qdrant pricing
How Qdrant charges, what to know before you commit, and what you'd pay at your usage — next to what the alternatives would cost for the same thing.
How it charges
Checked 2026-10-03 on qdrant.tech ↗ · USD, list pricesResource-based: you pay by the hour for your cluster's vCPU, RAM and disk, whatever your query and write volume; a single-node free cluster (0.5 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB disk) is free.

What the model leaves out
Qdrant publishes no per-unit rates; prices come from Qdrant Cloud's own capacity calculator (cloud.qdrant.io/calculator) for AWS us-east-1, 1,536 dimensions, no quantization, replication factor 1, vectors kept in RAM, at 24 hours × 30.5 days. The calculator sizes RAM at about 9.2 GiB per million such vectors (vectors plus index and payload headroom); each plan is its recommendation at the top of the band (0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50, 100M vectors) — e.g. 3 × 4 GiB nodes for 1M. Between stops this overstates, since a smaller cluster may fit. Scalar or binary quantization, or keeping vectors on disk, cuts RAM several-fold and the price with it; replication for high availability multiplies it. The free cluster's 1 GB RAM matches the calculator's 1 GiB requirement for 100k vectors, so it's capped there. Queries and writes aren't priced (resource-based). Backups and paid inference are left out; other clouds and regions differ.
- Pricing is per cluster size, not per query — queries and writes aren't billed, but throughput is limited by the cluster's CPU and RAM, so heavy traffic can force a larger cluster than your data needs.
- Free clusters are suspended after 1 week unused and deleted after 4 weeks of inactivity if not reactivated.
- Usage is billed hourly for compute, memory and disk, plus backup storage and paid inference tokens.
- Premium (SSO, private links, 99.9% SLA) requires a minimum spend — price on request.
