Hostinger
Web hosting company offering shared, cloud and VPS hosting, a website builder and domains, with Node.js app hosting on its Business and Cloud plans.
Works with AI agents:llms.txtHostinger sells hosting for websites and web apps from one account: shared and cloud web hosting, WordPress hosting, an AI website builder, domains and email, and virtual private servers (VPS). For a web SaaS or AI app, the two relevant products are the KVM VPS plans and Node.js web app hosting on the Business and Cloud web hosting plans.
A VPS is a plain Linux server with full root access. You pick an OS or one of the ready-made templates (Docker, Coolify, cPanel, Plesk and others) and install your stack yourself; Hostinger's support covers the hardware, network and its dashboard, not the software you run. An AI assistant in the dashboard can walk you through or carry out server tasks. Everything is also exposed through an API, with official PHP, Python and TypeScript clients, a CLI, a Terraform provider and an Ansible collection.
What you get on a VPS: free weekly backups (daily backups are a paid add-on), one manual snapshot, and locations in France, Germany, Lithuania, the UK, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the USA (Phoenix and Boston) and Brazil. The managed alternative, Node.js web apps on Business and Cloud plans, deploys from a GitHub repository or a file upload without you configuring a server.
Limits to know: plans are paid upfront, and the low advertised VPS prices are introductory, with higher renewal rates. A VPS can't change location after setup (you back up and reinstall elsewhere), a snapshot is deleted after one day, and plans only go up as a whole, with no way to add RAM or disk separately.

What does a Hostinger VPS cost?
KVM plans start at $6.49/mo for 1 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 50 GB NVMe, renewing at $11.99/mo, up to KVM 8 with 8 vCPU and 32 GB RAM. All plans are paid upfront and come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. source ↗
Is the VPS managed, or is the server my job?
The VPS is self-managed. Hostinger supports the hardware, network and dashboard; the software and server configuration are yours, with an AI assistant offered for step-by-step help. source ↗
Where are the VPS data centers, and can I move a server later?
VPS locations are France, Germany, Lithuania and the UK; India, Indonesia and Malaysia; the USA (Phoenix and Boston); and Brazil. The location is fixed after setup, so moving means backing up and reinstalling the VPS in another data center. source ↗
How do backups and snapshots work?
Backups run weekly by default (daily is a paid option), with up to four kept, two daily and two weekly. You can keep only one manual snapshot, which is deleted after one day or when you reinstall the OS. source ↗
Can I run a Node.js app without managing a server?
Yes. Business web hosting and all Cloud hosting plans can deploy a Node.js application from a GitHub repository or a file upload, in a managed environment. A VPS is the option when you need control over runtime versions, system dependencies and the deploy workflow. source ↗
Can I automate Hostinger with an API or Terraform?
The API covers hosting, domains, DNS, email, VPS and billing, with official PHP, Python and TypeScript clients, a CLI, a Terraform provider and an Ansible collection. source ↗
Is Hostinger free?
No permanent free tier; paid use starts at $6.49/mo (KVM 1 VPS, introductory). source ↗
