What the model leaves out
Each plan includes GitHub AI Credits (1 credit = $0.01) for chat, agents and the CLI, and extra usage is billed against a budget you set. A Free plan has limited chat and agent usage. Business and Enterprise plans are priced separately and not modeled.
Before you commit
- Chat, agent mode, code review, the cloud agent and the CLI draw down AI Credits (1 credit = $0.01) at rates that vary by model; completions stay unlimited on paid plans.
- Part of each plan's credits is a flex allotment ($5 on Pro, $31 on Pro+, $100 on Max) that GitHub says may change over time.
- When the monthly allowance runs out you wait for the reset, switch to a cheaper model, or set a dollar budget for paid usage.
- The Free plan is limited to 2,000 completions and 50 chat requests a month.
